Zygo Corporation in Middlefield, CT is seeking an Optical Assembly Technician for first shift to support our Laser Tubes manufacturing team. As an integral member, you will perform precise optomechanical assembly and testing of laser tubes and components, following detailed procedures and strict quality standards while maintaining cleanroom protocols and safety practices.

Collaboration with engineering and supervision is essential to provide feedback, resolve issues, and support ongoing process

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
3–5 years of hands-on production manufacturing/operations.
Ability to read BOMs, schematics, and drawings.
Excellent manual dexterity with attention to detail.
Capable to lift up to 20 lbs and work in a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

Perform accurate optomechanical and electromechanical assembly and test of laser tubes and components using precision tooling and fixturing.
Document work with high attention to detail and identify irregularities.
Follow detailed manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
Collaborate with engineering and supervision to provide feedback and support process improvement.
Maintain traceability of components and assemblies.
Maintain required training certifications and adhere to safety standards.
