Job summary

Cherokee Millwright is seeking a Multi-Craft Millwright to install, dismantle, or move heavy machinery according to layout plans and blueprints. The role requires cross-training in millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal, and civil trades to meet diverse customer needs.

The candidate will work under the Multi-Craft Millwright Foreman in the Operations department, performing essential duties while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 2–4 years related experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Cross-trained in multiple trades (millwrighting, pipefitting, welding, sheet metal).

Responsibilities

• Examine objects, systems, or facilities and determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
• Read blueprints and schematics to determine work procedures.
• Dismantle machines and move machinery and equipment with hoists, dollies, or forklifts.
• Assemble and install equipment such as conveyors and trams.
• Align machines using hoists and precision tools.
