Job summary

Zobility is seeking a Tool Technician to maintain and repair plastic injection molds and tooling in the SC plant. You will perform mold PMs, repair issues on press, and work with engineers to implement changes; responsibilities include TIG welding, hydraulic line work, surface grinding, and maintaining a safe work area.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in a tool room, reading tooling drawings, and experience with mold components and injection molding processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in a tool room repairing or maintaining plastic injection molds.
• 5+ years hands-on experience with hand-operated tool room equipment.
• Ability to read and understand tooling drawings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mold and tooling preventative maintenance and repair.
• Welding tasks (TIG).
• Construct hydraulic lines and rebuild hydraulic cylinders.
• Grind and finish tools, including detailed cutting tools and nozzle tips.
• Open vent cleaning and ensure safety/housekeeping standards.
