Job summary

G&W Electric Co. is seeking a Molding Set Up Technician for our Bolingbrook, IL facility, 6:00am-6:00pm (B shift). You will set up, start up, and break down molds and perform planned maintenance in our molding area.

Coordinate with planning, maintain mold inventories, operate cranes/hoists and a forklift, and promote safety and continuous improvement while ensuring quality and efficiency. A valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, and English comprehension are required.

Qualifications

• Experience with injection molding and mold set-ups.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to safely operate a forklift and cranes/hoists.
• Valid driver’s license and good written/verbal communication skills.
• Minimum High School diploma or GED; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up molds in coordination with planning for production needs.
• Break down previous mold configurations and maintain inventory.
• Coordinate mold repairs with Tooling Department and perform maintenance.
• Inspect mold set up for proper implementation and safety.
• Operate lifting equipment and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Document actions and communicate across levels of the organization.
