Jobot is seeking an experienced Permanent Mold Maker for a 1st/Day Shift position in Rochester, NY. You will design, create, and maintain molds used in the production of high-quality plastic injection parts, collaborating with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling and processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mold making or related field.
• Proficiency in CAD software UG, Solidworks, Mastercam.
• Knowledge of injection molding processes and materials.
• Experience in manufacturing and production parts.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and create molds for new parts using CAD software such as UG, Solidworks, Mastercam, etc.
• Perform mold repair and maintenance to ensure longevity and efficiency of production parts.
• Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot issues and improve mold functionality.
• Apply knowledge of injection molding to optimize the production process.
• Participate in testing and validation of new molds, making adjustments to meet design specs.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop solutions for complex molding challenges.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
