Job summary

Accumold in Ankeny, IA seeks a Mold Cleaning Specialist on 2nd shift to maintain high-quality plastic mold tooling. You will clean, inspect, and service molds, disassemble/assemble delicate parts, and use appropriate cleaning agents and tools while following safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school education or GED, basic PC skills, and familiarity with CAD programs such as Mastercam, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.

Qualifications

High school education coursework or GED required.
Ability to operate a PC; familiarity with Windows CAD programs (Mastercam, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Ability to read and interpret instructions and drawings; strong math and reasoning skills.
Willingness to attend training; occasional travel; overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of plastic injection molds to ensure quality.
Inspect mold surfaces for damage or contamination and apply proper cleaning methods.
Use specialized cleaning agents and tools without damaging mold surfaces.
Collaborate with production teams to schedule cleanings without delays.
Document procedures and maintain records of maintenance activities.
Identify mold defects or wear that could affect quality or efficiency.
Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed during cleaning.
