Job summary

Accumold seeks a Mold Designer in Ankeny, IA to support tool room, production and quality. You will design tools to manufacture plastic injection molds and assemblies.

The role requires 3+ years of drafting/modeling experience and proficiency in SolidWorks/AutoCAD/I‑Mold, plus strong communication with customers and cross‑functional teams. This is a regular full‑time position focused on design collaboration.

Qualifications

• Two years of post high school education coursework or equivalent related office experience required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and organizational rules and policies.
• Minimum three years electronic drafting and modeling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce data (models, assemblies, drawings) for tool room personnel to build tools.
• Lead Design Review meetings with the technical team.
• Communicate with customers regarding product design and functionality to assist mold design.
