Job summary

Rotex in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an experienced MIG Welder/Fabricator to build weldments for industrial screening and separation equipment. You will weld ferrous metals using GMAW/MIG, FCAW, and SMAW per WPS, prep joints, and lay out parts to print and engineering specs.

You will read blueprints and welding symbols, inspect your work, and maintain tools and equipment. Expect 3+ years of welding experience, certification, and a safety-first mindset in a fast-paced fabrication shop.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing or heavy equipment environment.
• Experience welding carbon steel or ferrous materials with MIG, FCAW, and SMAW.
• Ability to read and interpret fabrication blueprints and welding symbols to weld to spec.
• Familiarity with fit-up, tack welding, and final weld-out using common shop tools.

Responsibilities

• Weld ferrous metal components using GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW per WPS to meet shop requirements.
• Prepare and fit joints by grinding, beveling, tack welding, and torch cutting.
• Fabricate weldments and sub-assemblies across material thicknesses.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols to confirm weld size and sequence.
• Inspect work with visual checks and maintain weld equipment.
