Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency in MIG welding and related techniques (Oxy/Fuel, plasma cutting) is essential for carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Experience with overview cranes, power tools, blueprint reading, and tape measure usage in standard and metric units is required.
• AWS welding certifications (D1.1, D1.5, D1.6, or D1.2) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lay out and assemble grating components from blueprints and specs.
• Set up and run MIG welding equipment to meet welding procedure specs across materials.
• Shape and prepare materials using plasma and oxy/fuel cutting tools.
• Safely operate a range of shop equipment, from cranes to grinders.
• Earn and maintain welding certifications while supporting quality inspections.
• Help drive quality by reducing scrap and rework.
• Ensure ERP reporting for materials, production, and time.
