Qualifications

Shift 1 (United States of America)As a MIG Welder / Fabricator, you’ll build weldments that directly affect how Rotex, a Hillenbrand company, delivers reliable industrial separation equipment to customers who depend on consistent performance. You’ll work on-site in Cincinnati, Ohio, where we manufacture screening and separation systems used across industrial processing environments. Your craftsmanship will help keep quality high, rework low, and deliveries on track. You’ll contribute to a shop culture built on safe work, clear standards, and continuous improvement that supports sustainable growth.Shift: 1st, 8 hours, 5 days/weekStandard Hours: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pmOvertime: As needed Monday - Friday 5am - 3:30pm, plus Saturdays.Location: 1230 Knowlton - Cincinnati, OhioWHAT YOU'LL DO:Weld ferrous metal components using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW / MIG), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW / flux-core), and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW / stick), following Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) to meet print and shop requirements.Prep and fit joints by grinding, beveling, laying out, tack welding, and using torch cutting as needed, so parts are ready for final weld-out with solid fit-up and minimal distortion.Fabricate structural and non-structural weldments, including sub-assemblies and full assemblies, working across material thicknesses from 16-gauge through heavy plate steel.Read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings to confirm weld size, joint type, and sequence, and build to customer and engineering specifications.Lay out, position, and square parts using measuring tools (calipers, combination squares, straightedges, and rulers) and hold alignment with clamps, fixtures, and jigs to keep assemblies in tolerance.Perform all-position welding (flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead) based on the job, maintaining consistent bead profile, penetration, and overall weld quality.Inspect your work before and after welding using visual checks and basic inspection tools, and complete routine care on welding equipment (guns, leads, power sources, wire feeders, and grinders) to reduce downtime.Other duties as assigned, including cross-functional tasks within the fabrication department.TEAM:You’ll work alongside welders, fabricators, and production partners in a respectful shop environment where you’ll share priorities, communicate clearly, and support consistent standards.
