Job summary

Panelmatic, Inc. is seeking skilled Fabrication Welders to join our manufacturing team in Georgia. You will fabricate and weld sheet metal components used in electrical enclosures and metal structures, with emphasis on MIG welding of mild and stainless steel.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years welding experience, can read blueprints, perform setup and fit-up, and pass a weld test, background check, and drug screening. Safety and quality are essential in our fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Welding test required.
• 2+ years of welding experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Proficiency in MIG welding (mild and stainless steel).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop prints.
• Pass weld test, background check, and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Interpret shop drawings and welding symbols to perform welds.
• Set up, align, tack, and weld components to meet dimensional specifications.
• Inspect welds for quality, strength and compliance with specifications.
• Operate fabrication tools and equipment (grinders, torches, plasma cutters, etc.).
• Maintain dimensional accuracy throughout fabrication.
• Collaborate with team members and notify inspectors when work is ready.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
