Job summary

Wabash in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking skilled Welders to join our manufacturing team. You will perform MIG/TIG welding on carbon, stainless steel and aluminum, reading engineering prints and following precise specifications to help produce high-quality subassemblies.

Experience with welding tests, respirator fit testing, and PPE usage is required. You may work in challenging environments with heights and tight spaces, and routine safety and quality standards are stressed.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Must pass Weld Tests related to product line before welding in production.
• Must pass respirator fit test.
• Basic reading, writing, math and verbal skills.
• Capable of reading and following engineering prints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Own and help improve safety, quality, and delivery performance.
• MIG and/or TIG weld carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to meet quality standards.
• Read engineering prints and weld symbols; follow Specifications.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on welding equipment.
• Work in tight spaces and at heights; wear required PPE.
