Job summary

PrecisionX Group seeks a skilled Class A Progressive Tool & Die Maker for its Ditron facility in Stormville, NY. This role designs, builds, troubleshoots, and optimizes high-speed progressive stamping dies for tight tolerances on copper alloys like C172.

The position collaborates with the tool room team to ensure flawless die performance at production speed. Ideal candidates have 1-3 years of progressive die build experience, knowledge of GD&T and ISO 9001, and experience with Bruderer presses

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-3 years of progressive die build experience in a precision metal stamping environment.
• Demonstrated track record of building dies that produce conforming parts at production volume.
• Working knowledge of GD&T, dimensional inspection, and ISO 9001 quality standards.
• Hands-on experience with Bruderer high-speed presses (BSTA 30V2) setup, tuning, and troubleshooting at speeds >1,000 SPM.
• Demonstrated experience in precision microstamping and building tight-tolerance progressive dies.

Responsibilities

• Build, fit, and bench-test new dies to ensure correct function prior to production release.
• Perform die repair, rework, and troubleshooting at the bench to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose root causes of die-related quality issues and implement corrective tooling changes.
• Build and maintain fine-pitch, tight-tolerance microstamping tooling for high-speed production.
