SlingShot Connections is seeking an Operator 2 for hands-on manufacturing, including precision soldering and microelectronic assembly. This role requires working with microscopes, SMT components, and a variety of small tools to meet strict quality standards.

You will follow detailed drawings and instructions, apply epoxy with dispensing equipment, and perform reflow soldering inside housings and on SMT devices. The team works on RF sub-assemblies and ensures safe, organized work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• 1–2 years soldering or microelectronic assembly experience.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Able to work up to eight hours under a microscope with precision tools.
• Experience assembling SMT and connectorized products.
• Familiar with manufacturing safety practices and equipment maintenance.
• Strong communication with leads and supervisors.
• Reliable, independent worker who contributes to a team.

Responsabilités

• Assemble products using soldering irons, microscopes and small tools.
• Follow drawings, BOMs, schematics and work instructions precisely.
• Apply epoxy manually with dispensing equipment for staking and die attach.
• Perform mechanical assembly and advanced soldering on microelectronic components.
• Solder stainless steel housings to required leak standards.
• Solder various alloys including leaded, lead-free, and gold-tin.
• Perform solder reflow inside housings and on SMT devices like QFNs.
• Build complex RF sub-assemblies.
• Assemble diodes, wires, coils, components, pins and cables.
• Conduct inline inspections and ensure quality standards.
• Utilize MES systems to manage tasks and track production.
• Meet production output goals while maintaining quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Communicate issues promptly.
