Job summary

Trans-Matic is seeking a Metrology Lab Technician for the second shift in Holland, MI. The role focuses on precision measurement, blueprint interpretation, and maintaining accurate quality records to ensure product conformance.

You will operate CMMs and vision systems, support new product launches, and help improve lab processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This full‑time, hourly position emphasizes attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of quality, metrology, or inspection experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Strong computer, spreadsheet, and data entry skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and part layouts using precision measurement equipment.
• Operate and maintain CMMs, vision systems, OGP equipment, and other inspection tools.
• Support new product launches and production quality checks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, including GD&T.
• Complete PPAP documentation and inspection reports.
• Maintain accurate records and quality data.
• Help improve processes and keep the quality lab organized and efficient.
