Job summary

Molex is expanding its in-house Metrology Lab team with a Metrology Technician to support dimensional inspection and analysis for internal and external customers. You will work with CMMs, CT scanning, and optical equipment to produce dimensional reports and part-to-model comparisons.

You will contribute to GR&R, MSA, correlation studies, and capability studies while collaborating with Engineering to optimize measurement methods and improve product quality across the globe.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field or at least 3 years of metrology lab experience.
• At least 1 year of CAD/CAE/CAM experience and dimensional inspection exposure.
• 1+ year of CMM programming and GD&T proficiency (ASME Y14.5-2009).
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform metrology inspections using CT scanning, CMM programming, or optical equipment.
• Develop CT scanning expertise and review results with Engineering and Quality teams.
• Manage laboratory workload to meet internal customer priorities.
• Analyze dimensional results and provide actionable feedback to product teams.
• Convert scan data for dimensional analysis and generate reports.
• Conduct GR&R, MSA, correlation, and capability studies and report findings.
• Evaluate drawings to choose optimal measurement methods and advise Engineering.
• Support ISO, EHS, and Six Sigma processes per established policies.
