Job summary

PrecisionX Group in Piscataway, NJ, is seeking a skilled Setup Technician to support our precision metal stamping operations. You will prepare, install, adjust, troubleshoot, and operate stamping presses, tooling, and related equipment to meet approved work instructions and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with progressive, compound, and secondary dies, coil‑fed press systems, dimensional inspections, and strong safety discipline.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational manufacturing training preferred.
• Experience setting up progressive, compound, and secondary dies.
• Experience with coil-fed stamping operations and inspection techniques.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/13485 or similar quality systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate mechanical, hydraulic, and stamping presses per procedures.
• Install, align, secure, and adjust dies including progressive, compound, and secondary operations.
• Verify tooling revision levels match work orders and documentation.
• Complete safe, accurate press setups within established timeframes.
• Document production and quality records accurately and communicate issues.
