Job summary

J H Metal Finishing Inc is seeking a motivated Chemical Processing Line Operator in New Britain, CT. This hands-on manufacturing role involves operating and monitoring processing lines to deliver high-quality metal finishing.

You will load parts, monitor temperatures and concentrations, keep logs, follow safety protocols, and participate in routine maintenance. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, and OSHA PPE practices apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, or metal finishing preferred.
• Able to follow chemical handling procedures in written and verbal form.
• Good mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Familiar with OSHA safety standards and PPE usage.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical processing lines for metal finishing applications.
• Load and unload parts onto racks, barrels, or fixtures for processing.
• Monitor chemical bath concentrations, temperatures, and process parameters.
• Perform routine quality checks to ensure finished parts meet specifications.
• Maintain accurate production logs and process records.
• Follow strict safety protocols when handling hazardous chemicals and materials.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and report any malfunctions.
• Keep work area clean and organized in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
