Job summary

Lake Air Products, a fast-growing contract manufacturer, seeks a 1st shift Metal Finisher in Vadnais Heights, MN. You will grind burrs, finish critical surfaces, and interpret blueprints to ensure quality finishes across parts and assemblies.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or equivalent and experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work up to 10 hours daily while wearing PPE. Competitive pay and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing/Metal Fabrication experience preferred.
• Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast-moving environment.
• Lift objects up to 50 pounds.
• Perform repetitive work up to 10 hours per day.
• Wear required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Grinds out burrs and sharp edges with hand tools and portable grinders.
• Finish parts to specification on surfaces with timesaver, loewer and straight liner.
• Read blueprints and interpret geometric tolerancing.
• Study drawings/specs to determine finish and setup requirements.
• Keep equipment and area clean; perform basic maintenance.
• Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions.
• Log labor and materials in ERP system.
• Coordinate with management and shop personnel to resolve issues.
