Job summary

Lake Air Products is seeking a 2nd shift Welder in Vadnais Heights, MN to join our team. You will weld metal components using MIG and TIG processes, read blueprints, set up equipment, and inspect finished welds to meet quality and safety standards.

This full-time role requires 1+ years of TIG/MIG/Tack-weld experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. We offer competitive pay and full benefits, plus tuition reimbursement and PTO.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in TIG, MIG, and Tack-weld (hand laser welding preferred).
• Ability to read blueprints and perform measurements.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, calipers, and ruler.
• Observe tests on welded surfaces, such as hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance.
• Develop templates or tooling to hold and align parts.
• Determine required equipment and welding methods, applying knowledge of metallurgy and welding techniques.
• Examine finished products and spare parts against samples to verify specifications.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances with measuring instruments.
• Welding of metal using various welding arcs including TIG, MIG, flux-cored arc and plasma arc.
