Job summary

The role requires operation of polishers, use of calipers, micrometers, CMM and other inspection tools, and the ability to read blueprints and tolerances. A high school diploma or GED is required; basic computer skills and independent work are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to interpret instructions.
• Excellent hand/eye, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.

Responsibilities

• Selects abrasive belts or wheels according to instructions or work order.
• Attaches wheel or belt to drive mechanism and starts the polisher.
• Polishes parts by moving them against abrasive surfaces to remove material.
• Examines part finish for acceptability using overlay/inspection equipment.
• Maintains clean, organized, and safe work area.
