• Inspect parts using rulers, gauges, protractors, and templates.
• Start machines and monitor operation, adjusting settings as needed to maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust metal fabricating machines to meet production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine setup and sequence of operations.
• Select, position, and secure dies, rollers, blades, cutters, and fixtures using measuring tools.
• Position and clamp stops, guides, and turntables to ensure accurate material flow.
• Adjust machine controls to regulate speed, dimensions, bend angles, and forming pressures.
• Start machines and monitor operation to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Inspect parts for conformance using rulers and gauges.
• Clear jams, troubleshoot minor malfunctions, and report repair needs.
• Load/unload material coils and feed tables as needed.
• Requisition materials to ensure continuous production supply.
• Monitor inventory levels and enter production data into the database.
