• Read blueprints, engineering specs, and shop orders to determine setup.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust metal fabricating machines to meet production requirements.
• Read blueprints and shop orders to determine proper methods and sequence.
• Select and position dies, rollers, blades, and fixtures using measuring tools.
• Position clamps and guides to ensure accurate dimensions.
• Adjust controls to regulate speed, dimensions, and forming pressures.
• Start machines and monitor operation, making adjustments as needed.
• Inspect parts with rulers, gauges, and templates for conformance.
• Clear jams, troubleshoot and fix minor malfunctions during operation.
• Report repair needs and dismantle setups after runs.
• Load/unload material coils and feed tables as required.
• Requisition materials to ensure continuous production.
• Monitor inventory and log production data.
