Job summary

nVent is hiring for an assembler to support fabrication and assembly of metal components in our Kansas facility. You will follow blueprints, verify dimensions, and help meet quality and safety standards while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Responsibilities include assembling parts with hand and power tools, inspecting for quality, and supporting continuous improvement. Prior experience with tools and blueprint reading is beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing, assembly, or related experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools is beneficial.
• Basic blueprint reading and interpretation.
• Ability to read tape measure (inch and metric).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal instruction comprehension.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and components using hand and power tools.
• Follow work instructions, production standards, and quality requirements.
• Clean parts using approved solutions, compressed air, and cloths.
• Inspect assembled components for quality and accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of production equipment.
• Follow all nVent safety policies and practices.
• Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
