Job summary

SQA Services, Inc. is seeking a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector for first-shift, 30–40 hours per week, with options for part-time or full-time on an as-needed basis. The role emphasizes precision inspection of mechanical parts and assemblies with a strong focus on quality and compliance.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on experience, solid GD&T knowledge, and the ability to read drawings. The position may require travel and on-site support at supplier locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on inspection of precision mechanical parts.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and industry standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions using hand tools.
• Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
• Able to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies for workmanship and conformance to drawings.
• Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot samples as required.
• Utilize inspection equipment: micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and CMMs.
• Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity standards.
• Classify defect types and verify rework conducted during inspection.
