Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector in Minnesota for first-shift, part-time work (20–25 hours/week, 2–3 days). You will verify precision mechanical parts, inspect assemblies and materials, and ensure conformance to drawings and industry standards.

Proficiency with GD&T and inspection documentation is required. Role offers travel as needed with mileage reimbursement and an hourly wage of $30–$35.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on precision mechanical parts inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions with hand tools.
• Experience with certificates of conformance and inspection documentation.
• Ability to adapt to new technology and software.
• Excellent visual acuity to detect defects.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies for conformance to drawings/standards.
• Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot sample parts as required.
• Use micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and CMMs as needed.
• Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity standards.
• Classify defect types and verify rework during inspection.
