Job summary

SQA Services is hiring a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector in Los Angeles for a first shift, part-time role (20-25 hours per week, 2-3 days). The candidate will perform precision inspections on mechanical parts and assemblies, using micrometers, CMMs, and surface plates, and will verify conformance to drawings and standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.
• Strong ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and industry/commodity standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions using hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to drawings.
• Perform surface plate inspection of first article, in-process, and lot sample parts as needed.
• Utilize micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and CMMs.
• Verify documentation packages to industry/commodity-specific standards.
• Classify defect types and verify rework during inspection.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with ITAR and client requirements.
