Job summary

SQA Services is seeking a Quality Mechanical Source Inspector for the first shift, part-time 20-25 hours per week, 2-3 days weekly. This role focuses on precision inspections of mechanical parts, assemblies, and materials to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications.

Strong GD&T skills and experienced use of metrology tools are required to verify documentation and defects. Applicants should have 5+ years of hands-on inspection experience, plus an associate degree or higher or equivalent.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with precision mechanical parts inspection.
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and standards.
• Proficient in GD&T and validating dimensions with hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision inspection verifications on mechanical parts, components, assemblies, and materials.
• Inspect purchased parts, in-process and final assemblies, and materials for workmanship and conformance to drawings.
• Perform surface plate inspection of first article and samples as required.
• Use micrometers, gauge blocks, dial indicators, height gauges, optical comparators, profilometers, and CMMs as needed.
• Detect defects with strong visual acuity and verify documentation to standards.
• Classify defect types and verify rework during inspection.
