Job summary

LINK Staffing is hiring an experienced Mechanical Assembler in Southwest Houston for a full-time manufacturing role. This position requires hands-on assembly, reading technical drawings, and precise use of measuring tools to meet tight tolerances.

Candidates should be comfortable with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, and able to lift up to 50 lbs while maintaining high quality and safety standards across shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions.
• Comfortable with calipers, micrometers and measuring gauges to ensure part tolerances.
• Attention to detail and strict adherence to quality procedures.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical parts, components, frames, and equipment.
• Follow technical drawings, diagrams, schematics, and work instructions.
• Use hand tools and power tools to fasten, fit, adjust, and install components.
• Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and similar tools.
• Check alignment, fit, measurements, and overall assembly quality.
• Perform mechanical fit-up and make adjustments as needed.
• Identify and report damaged or incorrect components.
• Complete production and assembly documentation as required.
• Follow quality and safety procedures; maintain a clean work area.
