Job summary

GAS Energy Staffing LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a contract-hire position to assemble parts and subassemblies into finished products on the shop floor. You will read schematics and blueprints, align components, and use hand tools, hoists, forklifts, and small cranes to complete assemblies.

Responsibilities include performing quality checks, maintaining clean and safe workspaces, documenting production steps, and assisting with preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must pass drug screen, background check & physical examination.
• Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components by joining parts and subassemblies.
• Read schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Position, align, and assemble parts using hand tools, hoists, and equipment.
• Perform quality control checks on completed assemblies.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and equipment; conduct preventive maintenance as needed.
• Document production and quality actions.
• Operate or assist with forklifts/ cranes to move parts as required.
