Job summary

Modula is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to safely and efficiently assemble structural and mechanical components, ensuring products meet specifications. You will read drawings, follow BOMs, and perform stepwise fabrication with attention to quality and safety.

The role requires at least two years in manufacturing, strong blueprint reading and measurement skills, and the ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of relative experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational education in a related field preferred; combination of education and experience considered.
• Understanding of the manufacturing industry is essential.
• Working knowledge of reading prints, measurements and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Layout and construct product assemblies according to blueprints or specifications, using the proper tools and equipment.
• Read and follow assembly specifications, bills of materials and drawing sets, and plan successive steps of fabricating and assembling mechanical parts.
• Assemble parts according to print including fitment, alignment and adjustment, ensuring mechanisms function properly and diagnosing issues.
• Perform all duties safely, supporting all safety and environmental rules and initiatives.
• Participate in continuous improvement ideas for products, processes and procedures.
• Work in other areas of the factory as required; perform other duties as assigned.
