Chief Supermarket is seeking a full-time Meat Cutter to join our retail team in Napoleon, Ohio. The role involves cutting, weighing, and preparing a variety of meat products, following recipes and department standards to ensure quality and yield.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, plus at least one year of related experience or a strong apprenticeship in meat cutting. Strong math, reading, and customer-service skills are important for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year retail or related experience preferred; meat cutter/apprentice experience valued.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents; basic math skills.

Responsibilities

• Cut and weigh steaks, chops, and other meats for individual servings.
• Prepare value-added products per guidelines and recipes.
• Cut, trim, bone, and portion carcass sections to create cooking cuts.
• Price, date, wrap, and bag meat products per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, stocked shelves and assist with merchandising.
• Notify management when supplies or products need to be ordered.
• Assist in other departments as needed.
• Adhere to PPE, safety, and guest-experience standards.
