Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Meat Cutter to maintain a well-stocked department, prepare and merchandise fresh meat, and provide excellent customer service. You will cut, trim, bone, weigh, wrap, and label products, while following all safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires 1+ year of related experience and completion of meat cutter training/certifications. Strong MS Outlook/Excel skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment are expected.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age
• 1+ years of related experience and/or training

Responsibilities

• Cuts, trims, bones meat for display or as ordered by Customer
• Operates electric grinder, saw, knife sharpener, tenderizer, slicer
• Weighs / wraps / labels product packages for counter display
• Rotates product in meat cooler; ensures proper storage practices
• Uses MCS technology to generate production list and track re-works
• Assists customers with product questions
• Scans items on Telxon for production
• Assists in technical areas as needed
• Cleans and sanitizes display cases; adheres to food safety standards
• Provides superior customer service and assists with selections
