Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is hiring for a Meat Department position. You will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, while assisting in seafood and deli sections.

You will help Members with selections and special cuts, and uphold sanitation and safety standards in a fast-paced environment. We offer weekly pay, free club memberships, generous PTO, health benefits, a 401(k) plan with company match, and an employee stock purchase program.

Qualifications

• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Completion of a training program or apprenticeship required.
• Knowledge of automatic and hand wrapping machines preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Engages and assists Members by making recommendations about meat, poultry and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and processes fresh meats to company standards and labels products.
• Keeps meat department stocked, rotated and clean; maintains sanitation and safety.
• Inspects and stores meat on delivery; ensures quality standards are met.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including stocking and assisting in other departments.
