Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems seeks a Precision Measurement Technician for the York, PA plant to support Navy Systems. Responsibilities include NDT testing, CMM setup and calibration, and precision gauge inspection.

The role requires handling tooling, fixtures, and complex piping, with opportunities to lead continuous improvement projects. We offer a 2nd shift with benefits on first day, potential relocation assistance, and union environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in nondestructive testing (NDT) methods including dye penetrant and magnetic particle tests.
• Experience with Q.C. setups, programming and operation of CMMs.
• Ability to calibrate and date instruments and maintain precision gauges.

Responsibilities

• Qualify in and perform dye penetrant and magnetic particle tests.
• Set up, program, and operate CMM; calibrate instruments and date them.
• Inspect and calibrate precision gauges, fixtures, dies, and tools.
• Audit and verify startup procedures; detect malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Develop continuous improvement via SPC and cross-functional problem solving.
