Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems is seeking a Precision Measurement Technician for the 2nd shift at our York, PA site. The role covers non-destructive testing (dye penetrant and magnetic particle methods) and coordinate measuring machine work to ensure tight tolerances for Navy systems.

The technician will calibrate and date instruments, inspect gauges and fixtures, and support production operations and packaging compliance for government projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with non-destructive testing methods (Dye Penetrant, Magnetic Particle).
• Set up, program, and operate a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
• Calibrate and date precision instruments and gauges.
• Inspect parts, jigs, fixtures, dies and tools for accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and perform dye penetrant and magnetic particle testing as required.
• Plan, lay out, fabricate and assemble Navy-grade piping and components.
• Weld and inspect complex piping systems and pressure vessels.
• Audit measurements and ensure compliance with specs and safety.
