Job summary

Johnson Controls Federal Systems in York, PA is seeking a Precision Measurement Technician (2nd Shift) to support Navy Systems. You will perform nondestructive inspections (dye penetrant, magnetic particle), program and operate the coordinate measuring machine, and calibrate precision gauges and instruments.

You will inspect, document and repair parts, jigs and tooling, and contribute to continuous improvement through SPC methods.

Qualifications

• Nondestructive testing procedures such as dye penetrant and magnetic particle tests.
• Setup, calibration and operation of coordinate measuring machines.
• Inspection and calibration of precision gauges and tools.
• Ability to interpret prints, charts and specifications.
• Strong SPC knowledge and data-driven problem solving.
• Willingness to perform physical work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Qualify in and perform nondestructive examination procedures (dye penetrant, magnetic particle).
• Set up, program and operate coordinate measuring machines; calibrate instruments.
• Inspect and calibrate precision gauges, measuring devices and tools.
• Investigate varied assignments related to tooling, fixtures, packaging and shipping.
• Maintain records and support continuous improvement with SPC methods.
