Job summary

Baywater Drilling is seeking a Measurement Technician to perform precise measurements, calibrations, and inspections across industrial environments. You will work with hydraulics, electrical systems, and instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurement setups.

The role includes diagnostics on PLCs, DCS, CNC machinery, and sensors, with service on CNC machinery and calibration of sensors in fast-paced settings. Strong technical skills and a proactive approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with hydraulics, industrial electrical work, E&I, mechanical maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLCs, DCS, CNC machines, sensors, and vision systems.
• Familiar with schematics reading and AutoCAD drafting; Calypso software for measurement analysis.
• Experience with high and low voltage safety protocols.
• Military or industrial background advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork with customer service orientation.
• Ability to work independently or in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct calibration and maintenance of precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, ohmmeters, sensors, and vision inspection systems.
• Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and AutoCAD layouts to troubleshoot and repair measurement equipment and control systems.
• Perform diagnostics on hydraulic systems, sensors, DCS, PLCs, and high/low voltage electrical components.
• Support manufacturing operations by performing field service tasks on CNC machinery, calibration of sensors, and alignment of mechanical components.
• Utilize calibration procedures for industrial maintenance activities while adhering to safety standards involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of measurement equipment using tools such as Calypso software and vision inspection systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop schematics for instrumentation layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Provide customer service by troubleshooting measurement issues on-site or remotely to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
• Maintain detailed records of calibration activities, maintenance logs, inspection reports, and system configurations for compliance purposes.
