Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing) for the York, PA Grantley Plant. The role focuses on installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical and material handling systems, with setup support for relocated equipment and diagnostic tasks.

Shift is 1st, pay starts at $36.45/hr, and benefits are available from day one. Responsibilities include testing under operating conditions, preventive maintenance, and safe operation of tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of manufacturing machine maintenance experience.
• 2-5 years of basic knowledge of electromechanical systems (Hydraulic, Basic electrical, Pneumatic)
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and related safety trainings.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical production equipment and material handling systems within the plant.
• Set up newly purchased or relocated equipment; diagnose malfunctions and perform general maintenance tasks.
• Reassemble, test, and verify equipment under operating conditions.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Handle precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing equipment as required.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, bending equipment, ladders, scaffolding, and material handling devices safely.
