Job summary

Johnson Controls Navy Systems in York, PA is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic (Manufacturing) for the 1st shift. Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical production equipment and material handling systems within the plant.

You will support setup of newly purchased or relocated equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and perform general maintenance tasks. The role includes reassembly, testing, and verification of equipment under operating conditions with strict safety practices.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of manufacturing machine maintenance experience.
• 2–5 years of basic knowledge of electromechanical systems.
• Basic electrical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair mechanical production equipment and material handling systems within the plant.
• Set up newly purchased or relocated equipment, diagnose malfunctions, and perform general maintenance.
• Reassemble, test, and verify equipment under operating conditions.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Use precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing equipment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, bending equipment, ladders, scaffolding, and material handling devices safely.
