Job summary

AMETEK, a leading global industrial technology company, invites applications for an inspector to join the SFMS Production team in Wilmington, MA. The role focuses on incoming inspection of development and production material and supporting manufacturing equipment maintenance.

You will perform complex inspections, apply ASME Y14.5M tolerances, test parts with mechanical and electrical tools, and contribute to prototype work.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of industry-related experience preferred.
• Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and communications skills with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity and decision-making.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Self-directed and able to work under pressure, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
• MS Office: Word, Excel.
• Desire to learn and grow professionally.

Responsibilities

• Performs all duties associated with incoming inspection of development and production material.
• Supports maintenance of all equipment used in manufacturing processes and engineering development.
• Performs a large variety of complex inspections and analytical processes with appropriate tools and measuring devices.
• Inspects and tests production parts using mechanical and electrical measuring equipment.
• Experience with prototype development using engineering sketches, notes and drawings.
• Applies geometrical tolerances per ASME Y14.5M-1994.
• Demonstrates measurement techniques.
