Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Manual Welder for fabrication in a steel shop. You will weld carbon steel and aluminum, read blueprints and welding symbols, and select filler metals per WPS.

Set up equipment under supervision and perform first piece inspections for quality. Responsibilities include cutting with plasma/oxy-fuel, fixture-based welds, documenting operations in the ERP system, and collaborating with teammates to meet customer specs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of manual welding experience in a production environment.
• Must obtain necessary weld certifications.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
• Proficient in calibration and measurement with calipers and height gauges.
• Knowledge of carbon steel and aluminum welding.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding on carbon steel, aluminum, and other metals according to specifications.
• Inspect welds to ensure quality and conformance to standards.
• Read blueprints and welding symbols to determine requirements.
• Set up welding equipment and select filler metals per WPS under supervision.
• Log operations and quality data into ERP system.
• Collaborate with welders, fabricators, and quality staff to meet specs.
