Job summary

Paycom in LaGrange, GA is seeking a skilled welder to lay out, fit, tack weld, and weld steel components per blueprints. You will operate jigs and fixtures to assemble frames, tanks, and parts.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, selecting equipment, aligning parts, welding in multiple positions, torch cutting, grinding, and repairs while adhering to weld standards. Requires 1–2 years of related experience and a college/technical certificate.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent education/experience.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training.
• Successful completion of an internal weld test.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Select equipment, jigs and fixtures; plan layout per blueprints.
• Lay out, position, align and fit components.
• Bolt, clamp and tack weld parts per specs.
• Weld in all positions per drawings and specs.
• Set and operate a cutting torch safely.
• Finish grinding applications with hand/power tools.
• Repair products by dismantling and re-welding.
