Job summary

APEX INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION LLC in the United States is seeking a Manual Machinist to setup, operate, and maintain manual equipment to produce precision components. You will read engineering drawings, maintain tight tolerances and perform quality inspections to ensure customer requirements are met.

The role requires ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

Qualifications

Minimum 2–5 years of manual machining experience.
Strong understanding of shop mathematics including geometry and trigonometry.
Proficient with precision measuring tools.
Able to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Machine Operation & Setup: Set up and operate manual machines (lathe, mill, drill press, surface grinder, etc.).
Blueprint Reading & Precision Measurement: Interpret drawings and inspect parts to tolerances.
Material Handling & Maintenance: Load materials, secure workpieces, and maintain machines.
Documentation & Reporting: Keep travelers and inspection logs up to date.
Safety & Housekeeping: Follow safety protocols and 5S standards.
