Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual milling machines and lathes to machine parts to specifications.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents to determine machining processes.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including lubrication and adjustments.
  • Work with a variety of metals, including steel, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel.
  • Ensure quality control throughout the machining process, making necessary adjustments to maintain tolerances.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Overview
