Job summary

Anderson International Corp is seeking an experienced machinist to set up, operate, and adjust conventional and CNC-equipped machines to fabricate precise metallic components. You will read blueprints, select tools, and verify tolerances with micrometers, ensuring quality and safety on the shop floor.

This on-site role requires strong manufacturing expertise, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with stainless and tool steel alloys.

Qualifications

5+ years of manufacturing experience and ability to edit CNC programs.
Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions.
Solid blueprint reading skills for machining diameters and tolerances.
Capability to machine parts to specified tolerances using precise measuring tools.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and operate in restricted spaces.
Experience with stainless and tool steel alloys preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate conventional and special purpose machines to fabricate metallic parts.
Apply machine shop theory, shop math, and layout techniques to work pieces.
Study drawings and specifications to determine dimensions and setup requirements.
Measure and verify dimensions using precision instruments and gauges.
Select and secure appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for operations.
Adjust machine controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant, and depth of cut.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and verify accuracy on trial runs.
Document results and maintain safe operating practices.
