Job summary

MW Components, Inc. in Corona, CA is seeking a Manual Machinist/Machinist II for first shift to set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, and grinders. You will read blueprints, GD&T, and work instructions to produce precision parts.

Collaborating with engineering and production teams, you will create tooling, maintain tight tolerances, and perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and CMMs. Commitment to safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years’ machining experience.
• Proficiency with machining math including geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to use precision measurement tools with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong understanding of materials and machining practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machine tools.
• Operate conventional mills, lathes, drill presses, saws, and grinders.
• Work with engineering and manufacturing teams to create production tooling.
• Complete set-ups and operate equipment with minimal supervision/assistance.
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions.
• Select tools, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, and other devices.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain tolerances and meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machining issues including tool wear and material inconsistencies.
• Maintain production records including job travelers and inspection reports.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure safe operation.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production to improve processes.
