Job summary

Motive Companies, based in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support our clean energy component production. This role focuses on precision parts manufactured on CNC lathes and mills, reading detailed drawings and applying GD&T to ensure quality.

You will set up tooling, select fixtures, perform first article inspections, and use precision instruments such as calipers and micrometers. The position offers a first shift and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience
• Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience with first article inspections and tight-tolerance machining
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools
• Experience with Haas, Mori Seiki, Doosan, Brother, Fanuc, or similar CNC equipment
• Mastercam CAM programming experience is a plus
• Aerospace, precision manufacturing, or industrial machining experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills
• Manufacture precision components to blueprint specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
• Select tooling and fixtures for each job
• Perform first article and in-process inspections
• Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make program or offset adjustments as needed
• Maintain quality standards and a safe, organized work area
