Job summary

B&H Photo Video in New Jersey is seeking a Machine Operator I to join the Maintenance team. You will set up, maintain and operate machinery, ensuring safe and efficient production.

A background with 1–2 years of industry experience or a trade school diploma/certifications is preferred. You should read blueprints and use measurement tools, and report any issues to the supervisor.

This full-time position offers a second shift schedule and growth opportunities within a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of industry experience or trade school diploma/certifications preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, manuals and specifications.
• Proficient with electrical and mechanical hand tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning daily.
• Conduct inspections and identify any failures that require monitoring or repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair the machine if any errors arise during the shift.
• Report to your supervisor and mechanic/technician if larger repairs need to be conducted on equipment.
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed).
• Understanding production procedures and following safety guidelines.
