Job summary

PrideNow in Trenton, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our industrial manufacturing client. You will perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, and production machinery, diagnose mechanical issues, and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

You will document activities in CMMS and support training of line mechanics and apprentices. The role requires reading blueprints, using precision measuring tools, hand/power tools, and fabricating parts as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments, hand/power tools, and shop equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints/diagrams and engineering documentation.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing production machinery and conveyors.
• Capable of safely performing physically demanding work; medical examination may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyors, and production machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical malfunctions using diagrams and manuals; troubleshoot hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Identify sources of issues, replace components with tools, and verify wear using precision instruments.
• Fabricate and machine replacement parts; operate shop equipment as needed.
• Maintain CMMS records, report irregularities, and communicate maintenance needs across shifts.
• Read blueprints and technical diagrams to install and maintain equipment; train apprentices as needed.
